Carland has box 18. Carland is from Plymouth and works for Royal Mail. Carland is married to Katie and we see a picture taken from his wedding day in Dartmoor. Noel asks if he’s thinking of expanding his family and Carland says that is one of the reasons he’s here to get some extra money to help out any with any future kids. Carland has bought along a red packet and explains it is a Chinese tradition which is usually filled with money as a sign of good luck. Carland’s friend is in the audience today.

Carland says he’s not sure whether to avoid boxes 22, 14, & 4 for now as 4 means death in Chinese. Number 8 is a lucky number in Chinese tradition.

Carland asks from some advice from Rich and Carland explains that his wife Katie is not a risk taker, which is why she’s not in the audience. The Banker then rings up and says that Rich is a good reader of the board and agrees with what he said. The Banker goes on and says if Carland has the perfect round he’d offer around £30,000, but if he had the nightmare round he’d offer less than £1,000 and the Banker says he’d deal at this point as there’s more to lose than gain.

Surely not the nightmare round says Noel.

It would be amazing says Noel if the Banker’s scenario comes true for the nightmare round.

The Banker says why does no one ever believe him. He says he always tries to make his advice honest.

Carland says it’s a good offer for the board. He asks Greg for some advice and says it’s a difficult decision. A few others give some advice.

Noel says that’s a spectacular gamble and didn’t have Carland down as an OHO at the start of his game.

Noel asks Carland if he’s willing to take one more risk. He then asks Carland what his wife Katie would think. Mike thinks that his box 8 has the big money in it and that Carland says it’s his lucky number.

Noel says Carland looks exhausted and he won’t be starting a family tonight.

Hi Recently, I asked an old friend a question(3rd time I’ve managed to ask him, twice in person and once on phone he’s done a pretty good job of giving me half-answered answers each time which is why I keep asking him), why he bought up a personal question to me about whether or not a woman I knew and who was keen on me(but then she had gave up on me) was still chasing me, first time he said I just was wondering if you had seen her, second time I got my dad to ask and he avoided the question and started talking about his history growing up(unrelated stuff about how he used to have to look after his mother growing up and stuff) then when I went to talk to the guy, he just started talking about what life was like for him growing up, then when I tried to redirect the conversation he quickly mentioned "It’s just I had a girl chasing me" and then we were interrupted and he he quickly took the the advantage to walk away before we could get back to our conversation, later on I rang him up and recorded the conversation and had mum listen in on the conversation, and when I asked him why he had mentioned about the woman he started saying something similar to this "oh you know how it is, when your in town you see familiar faces…." and he changed the subject, and then I said ‘yes but you knew she was not chasing me’ and he replied "you know how it is when your in town you see people you have not seen for a while, like its happened to me I’ve been in town and seen people i have not seen for ages" then he changed the subject again and we left it at that.

Looking back mum thought what he meant was that by saying "Familiar Faces" he meant his old girlfriend(that he had told back to me to me ages before he even mentioned it in one of our conversations, something he mentioned to me when I bought up about my girlfriend but I had forgotten), so in other words he see’s familiar faces that remind of people he knew.

Whereas I thought he just meant someone I knew, that I could of seen this girlfriend of mine in town by coincidence

Anyway we can’t work it out, mum thinks now he was just trying to avoid the question altogether like a politician, and I tend to think he’s answer is a riddle(that he might of expected me to be linking an old conversation we had had with what he said recently) that is bigger then any of the worlds problems and he is a great mind or at least a complex one.

No books, problems, peoples, tv shows, games, anything seem worth while anymore, all I do is eat and sleep, I am depressed all the time, and have nothing to live for, I know if I were to ask him again he would not give me a correct or answer that makes sense and lead me to get confused more so whats the use, plus he may get angry and make trouble for me.

I know there is something wrong with me to obsess like this, my question is

- do all people think like this in similar situations please help?
- Is there a problem?, is he more complex then most individuals or just weird?

- is this the right place for this question,
- is he a unique mind a great mind, or a complex mind even more worthy then that of Einstein, Lincoln or the typical person down the street?

- can you recommend any help for me please?(books, natural medication, therapy,etc)

- Also do you know any other kind of complex/awkward people like him?, and does he’s way of thinking and reasoning/speaking make everything else in this world seem unworthy.
- do you know by any chance what mental problem I’m suffering from?
- Do you know of any books that can help me understand people like him?
- Is my life useless now, because I rang him up?

PSS: please don’t ask me to talk to him anymore as he clearly won’t give me an answer, or make sense.

hi there. I think your friend is acting a little shady. If i read and understood your question properly, you were both after the same girl but at different times? If so, then i think he’s slept with her as he seems to be avoiding the issue. I don’t think he has a complex mind, or has any heightened intelligence. Quite the opposite. I do however think that you have a deep thought pattern. I’d like you to try and stop obsessing over this though mate. You could make yourself really ill. Start looking after yourself and move on. Don’t ask your mate the question again. You won’t get anywhere. Is he a good friend to you? Because if it was me i’d cut him out of my life to save the trouble. Good luck mate with whatever you decide. Try reading some philosophy, i think you could benefit from it.
