After a couple of successful games of the price is right 2010 for the Nintendo Wii, it’s now time for game 87 of my run of wheel of fortune for the PS2. I currently have an 86-game winnings total of $4,725,460 — cash and prizes. I know it’s been a while since I continued my run for this. I did do a Tournament game earlier, but that was for Sam1994Game’s birthday special… which I ended up winning over $116,000. Will I be able to add on to that $4,725,460? The record: $66,350. The winnings for one contestant in the maingame has never exceeded this amount, but, in a sense, the planets aligned tonight to give one contestant a gut shot to exceed this total with just one more consonant in the speed-up round………….

I have an update I’d like to address formally to all my subscribers at this point – as you can see in a couple of tickertapes in the video, Boston is going to have an affiliate change for Wheel. It is going from WBSK, the sub-affiliate of the CBS affiliate WBZ, to WBZ itself. This means I am suddenly prone to all the pre-emptions that you guys relied on me last year for, so I have no idea what’s going to happen on Thanksgiving (NFL), Christmas Day and especially New Year’s Day (BCS bowls) coming up. In fact, if you looked carefully, on all Fridays I am going to cheated out of the show due to some Patriots pre-game thing that WBZ decided is more important than airing Wheel usually. I am hoping that Saturday repeat is replaced by the Friday ep and that things will be normal when the Patriots are done playing, but there are bad rumors the Friday show may never be aired (and this would really really suck). I am keep doing as much as I can and hopefully things will work out, I will know more as we get into next week, but unfortunately there may end up being some holes in my highlights this season.

This show was pretty amazing – hitting $2500, $3500, the right Mystery Wedge AND $5000 all in the same show. Not only that, but it was a full speed-up with a big puzzle for a speed-up, which made things the most tense it has been yet all season (this is the only time yet this season my heart’s been thumping that fast, especially when she got to 24k). But it wasn’t quite meant to be tonight, in fact Jessica seemed a bit miffed/shaken that Kristina almost caught up to her. A good trap was SONG, but the N/G were dudded before so I saw how it was a bit hard to get for awhile there. I am 99% sure no show last season had two contestants at or over 30k each, never mind 35k.

The BR was pretty hard tonight, usually the two-letter word without RSTLNE is UP. Pretty sneaky and good budget-saving puzzle.

Set looks a thousand times better with some stuff in it, the background above the puzzleboard was cool.
