Realistically? Graduate from High School, go to college and graduate, graduating for being a doctor, engineer, something big, not liberal arts, or crap like that, do not spend money on junk, find a full time job from your career and do everything possible to climb the corporate ladder, if you can invest here and there in sure things like real state, you have more money faster, if you have a girlfriend make sure she’s educated like you, I’m sure she’ll help you pay for stuff. Good luck

You are already on the right track because you are thinking about the future at a very young age. Keep your eyes on the end goal and you’ll enjoy much more success.

Pick a field that you enjoy and it won’t matter if you’re a millionaire or not because you’ll be happy, and happiness is something that truly money cannot buy. Money is a necessary evil though, so you’ve got to plan ahead.

There are several ways to become a millionaire that are well within your grasp. The first best investment you can make is a book. Suze Orman’s "Money Book for the Young, Fabulous, and Broke." Suze is a funny woman with a LOT of experience behind her. She speaks in a language you can understand and gives you some easily attainable goals to shoot for.

The next thing you should consider is opening a Roth IRA. It takes a chunk of money to get it started but then it will grow over time and you’ll never miss the money you put into it.

Once you get a job, take advantage of the employer’s 401k plan. Only contribute what the employer will "match" and then sink your additional funds into your Roth IRA and a money market account that holds an emergency reserve.

DO NOT get into credit card debt. It’s fun, easy, and low cost to charge things on a credit card, but it’s no fun to pay them off, to be charged outrageous interest rates, or to have debt looming over you for decades because you were a big spender at a young age.

DO NOT take on more student loan debt than you’re willing to pay off or that doesn’t relate to the job you want. It might be nice to get a Bachelor’s degree then a Masters in some artsy field, but will it really help you long term?

Get Suze’s book and do your research. Good job on planning so far in advance!

A net worth of a million dollars or a million dollars in actual cash? They are two different things and it is quite easy in America to have a net worth of a million dollars. My best advice is to start off small, learn everything you can about investing while going to school and getting an education. Aim for what you enjoy, success will come later.
